CLOVE Women

50 Mile Radius is about thinking more ’local’ about every aspect of your life. Where you spend time, eat, shop & buy groceries. this Fall Season we are going to challenge ourselves to think and choose ’local’. What’s the difference between grocery stores, farmer’s markets and homegrown co-ops? How to connect with our ’inside’ by going ’outside’ on adventures carrying organic, sustainable snacks and earth friendly bug sprays & sunscreen. In December, we’ll find local men who have it going on for our 5th Annual Man Panel. Sure to be a fine season of positive growth. Happy 5th year to ClOVE Orlando Women’s Group.

Discussion was about ’Money as Sacrament’ by Adele Azar-Rucquoi. Adele couldn’t attend due to being ill but we discussed as a group with our two experts. The theme was how we formed our opinions surrounding money and what is keeping us from generating money. But also, when we receive money, what it means on a spiritual level when we spend it.

One vacation in her 20’s turned into a whole new life that was filled with purpose and global compassion. She couldn’t turn away when she knew she could do something.
'Confession Session' | September 7, 2011

This was our first ’Confession Session’. Each person wrote down a confession on a piece of paper, the papers went into a bowl that was passed around the room for each person to pull one out and read it. You could either fess up or NOT! The discussions were open, humorous, emotional, realistic and authentic.

New friends were made and the 2011 Fall Season began with a great night of sharing and bonding with food, wine and little rain over at the Maitland Civic Center!
"Eat Pray Love" Italian Style | December 8, 2010

Thank you Victoria for your La Dolce Vita hosting. WE all were looking forward to eating, discussing Italy and got so side tracked talking about our upcoming event "Create the Space You Deserve" that I think we were living alive like Italians more than talking about Italy.

When in Rome, I guess! Our big circle of women had more ideas and perspectives flowing it was intoxicating (I’m sure the wine helped). The energy in the room was dynamic, electric and we were phenomenal. I’m sorry that any of the CLOVE ladies missed it.

So onward towards the big event we are hosting April 15, 2011. We are definitely living Conscious, Luminous, Open hearted, Vital and Empowered now. Whoa! Shine on.

"Eat Pray Love" Discussion | September 15, 2010
Michele Lessirard-Shamanic Healer, Astrologer, Visionary, Coach

This evenings discussion was about the life journey of Elizabeth Gilberts "Eat Pray Love" Book (and movie). The ability to change in the face of uncertainty is the inspiring message of this story.

Michele shared her own personal journey from interior designer to shaman, helped us understand our connectedness with Elizabeth Gilbert’s story. Many of us have never met a shaman and entered into this gathering with curiosity, open minds and open hearts. We found that shamans are people too, they just see the world differently.

Healing parts of our past, help us see a clearer present moment, we are able to forgive and let go. Clearly, we left feeling like what the Dalai Lama said last year at the Peace Summit "The world will be saved by the Western Women". Sitting in circle, we realized it was each of us.

Clove celebrated their 2 yr anniversary by talking about women’s health and hormones. Russ Scala helped unlock the mystery our hormones are trying to tell us. What we eat, if we exercise and how stress plays an enormous role in your day to day energy levels.

We learned how to loose that last 10-20 lbs by understanding exactly how our bodies function chemically, why our bodies are being depleted of essential nutrients and how to regain the energy and vitality we all so badly want and deserve.

"Letters to God" Meet the team behind this amazing movie to be released on April 9th nationwide. | March 23, 2010
DNP Studios

We interviewed the talented team-producer, screenwriter and editor, involved in the Christian movie"Letters to God". Filmed in Central Florida, we are shocked at how difficult it is to make a movie. From storyline, to locations, to hiring the talent, to awful weather conditions, we left amazed movies ever get completed!

We sat in the actual editing room, got a sneak preview and explained how scenes were shot and all the sorted details that go into seconds of shooting. We also learned how movies are financed and how they bring in money and fans.

David Nixon was very gracious to allow us into his studio and we were honored to be allowed to view it before its release date. Very inspiring story about how one person can make all the difference when you need a little hope!
Miss Florida 2009, Rachael Todd "EcoMakeover" | April 30, 2010
Rachael Todd, Miss Florida 2009

Four months prior, I read an article about Rachael and how her mom who started the ’Hope Foundation’ in Oveido, FL influenced the woman she has become. This was her Miss America platform but also a huge part of her life. She saw how God’s grace and the compassion of one person can change many lives in the process.

She shared her personal story, her Miss America experience and Arbonne, an eco friendly cosmetics line that she uses personally.

We all proudly tried on the sparkly Miss Florida crown and discovered the real secrets of a beauty queen. It was a lot of fun and we learned most of all, that beauty comes from within.
